FUQ BOIZ are the uniquely refreshing comedy duo of Ryan Richards and Hamish Parkinson - New Zealand television’s most reliable “funny guy in a bit part” actors. But what if those bit parts could be really big parts? Like ‘front a whole sketch series’ big? Well good news, they’ve been working on one for ages.
Based on the Fred Award-nominated live show FUQ BOIZ, Hamish Parkinson and Ryan Richards bring their absurd, full-commitment, lightning-energy madcap sensibilities to this bold sketch series that takes relatable social pressures and crippling anxieties to their illogical extremes.
Multi-award winning comedian, writer and director (including Billy T, and National 48 Hours) Hamish is mostly known for his comedic roles in diverse webseries, TV and film such as Viva La Dirt League, Hunt For The Wilderpeople and Creamerie.
Ryan has had a successful career as an actor performing regularly in various TV shows, films and stage productions - almost exclusively in comedic roles. Over the years, Ryan has also written or co-written 10 original comedy shows that have been staged in various theatres throughout the country.
Laura has been a fixture of NZ’s television comedy for years, writing and starring in Funny Girls, Jono and Ben, 7 Days, Have You Been Paying Attention and Taskmaster, among many others. Laura has been emerging as a talented director, producing and directing her own segments on Seven Sharp, co-directing several Two Hearts music videos including the viral hit Eurovusion (Open Up), as well the FUQ BOIZ web series. Laura has directed many live comedy shows, including the original Fred Award-nominated FUQ BOIZ hour and has been working closely with Ryan and Hamish ever since.
Sarah started up her production company One-Legged Seagull in 2023.
